Cruise control turns off when going down hills, even small ones. I use my cruise control daily and my drive to work contains many small hills. When cruising at 70, I go down a hill. The cruise control backs off then at the bottom of the hill, it fails to engage. Once I have drifted from 70 mph down to 60 mph, it turns itself off.
